THE garbage situation is worsening day by day. Karachiites do not need to read about any sanitation situation in a newspaper, as they witness it in every street. In Khokhrapar Malir, heaps of garbage are lying uncleaned at roadsides, in lanes and bylanes.
A dumpster has been placed on the main road near the PSO petrol pump adjacent to a bank. Travelling on the road near the dumpster is so nauseating that one almost feels like vomiting. We witnessed earlier this year the outbreak of chikengunya which is caused by a filthy environment.
I request the authorities concerned to rid Karachi of insanitation.

Courtesy the 'elected' Mayor who has done nothing - nothing to clean the city todate. Has spent millions on Sign Boards like ' aao mil kar karachi ko saaf rakhen' etc, Last week he also said that lifting and removing the garbage is responsibility of the Provincial Government. How shameful

@HAKIM While I agree with you but just tell me why the area in Defence/cantonement boards etc are much cleaner[if not fully clean]. I , think the powerless/money less mayor as well the local bodies minister and Sindh govt are equally if not fully responsible. There is corruption all over.
