LAHORE: PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Husain has said the PML-N government is threatening the joint investigation team (JIT) but it must remember that JIT is just like the Supreme Court as it is constituted by it.

Talking to reporters at the residence of PML-Q Senator Syed Mushahid Hussain where he attended the qul of the senator’s father, Shujaat said the PML-N in fact was threatening the SC. He said it was unfortunate that the government openly started threatening the JIT and judges. He said the opposition would make its strategy regarding the Panama Papers case.

About forging an election alliance of opposition parties, he said some two to three candidates for prime minister slot were a hurdle in it.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis Elahi, Shafay Hussain, Salik Hussain, Dr Khalid Ranjah and Imran Masood were also present.
