CHARSADDA: Three proclaimed offenders and eight suspects were arrested and a big cache of weapons seized during an operation jointly conducted by the police and security forces in Tangi circle here on Thursday.

The police and security personnel conducted a joint operation in sensitive areas of Mandani.

During house-to-house search 11 suspected persons, including three proclaimed offenders, were arrested.

The raiding party was led by Tangi DSP Sajjad Hussain.

The seizure included eight rifles, four 7-MM rifles, two repeaters, one Kalakov, one SMG, 42 pistols, 12 magazines and 5,000 cartridges.

Officials said that cases were registered against the suspects who had been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
