MUZAFFARGARH: Shehr Sultan police of Jatoi tehsil arrested a fake faith healer on Tuesday for alleged rape of a woman.

The complainant, a resident of Shehr Sultan, told police that she went to the suspect with her sister because her house was haunted. The suspect asked her to stay at his residence. He also took two goats and one black hen from the woman. He kept her at his residence where he allegedly raped her.

OPERATION: Forty-seven people were detained by police and law enforcement agencies during a search operation at Qasba Gujrat near Pak Arab Refinery Company (Parco) and PSO Depot on Tuesday.

Deputy Police Officer Awais Ahmad said 47 Afghans and Pakhtuns were living in the area without identity cards.

SHO Chaudhry Javed Akhtar said the police and other law enforcement agencies had started operation with biometric machines.

He said cases had been registered against 47 arrested people.
