Clarification

APROPOS a report published in these pages on May 26, 2017 titled ‘Sindh faces new challenges as IGP, three DIGs skip Siyal’s first meeting’, the spokesman for Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal has issued the following clarification:

All three zonal DIGs of Karachi Arif Hanif (East zone), Zulfiqar Larik (West zone) and Azad Khan (South zone) along with DIG CIA and district SSPs of Karachi were present at the meeting held during a visit of the home minister at the police office. Sultan Khowaja and Munir Shaikh, who were not at the meeting, are no more Karachi zonal DIGs.
