Huge cache of arms, ammunition recovered from car in Sheikhupura

Security forces recovered a large number of weapons from a car intercepted in the Kot Pindi Das area of Sheikhupura on Monday.

As Motorway Police had tried to stop the vehicle, said to be on its way from Islamabad to Lahore, the driver lost control and the car fell into a ditch, Motorway Police said.

The secret compartments of the car became dislodged in the crash, revealing the cache of weapons hidden in them.

Motorway Police said they seized an assortment of nearly 100 rifles, Kalashnikovs, and other guns as well as a large cache of bullets. The two suspects travelling in the car managed to flee the scene.

In a press conference, officials of the Motorway police said the weapons and bullets have been seized and a preliminary investigation is now underway.

Really? Look at the pictures... Does anyone seriously think all these weapons could've been hidden in one car? Unless we are talking about a large van or pickup truck.

"Motorway police said the weapons and bullets have been taken into custody " You should also finger print them and prosecute the weapons! The correct term is 'seized' or 'confiscated', not 'custody' when it comes to things.

Sounds fishy... This huge cache in small SUV? The alleged driver escaped - from the ditch,on the motorway, on foot, and no one chased him? Motorway Police don't have vehicles or Motorbikes?? More holes in this story than you will find in Swiss Cheese.

story doesnt make sense. Secret compartment cannot store that much ammunition. Sorry this story smells fishy! Whos name is car registeted to ? how can they run on foot from police on a highway?

@Usman the policeman who was told to lay out the rifles on the table, probably did not see the car, hence his miscalculation. Never mind 100 % for trying, 0% for presentation.
