PCB to sue BCCI for failure to honour bilateral series agreement

The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to sue Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as the Indian board has failed to honour its commitment and play a bilateral series in Pakistan, said PCB Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi in a tweet.

The agreement between the two boards was signed in 2014. The series was one of six agreed between the PCB and BCCI under a Memorandum of Understanding signed when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh-led government gave its go-ahead for the series.

Sethi in another tweet, said that India has lost and the International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to roll back the Big 3 system.

Chairman International Cricket Council (ICC) Task Force on Pakistan Giles Clarke has reviewed the security report off ICC experts and has agreed to hold three T20 matches in Pakistan.

Sethi made the revelation in a tweet and added the matches are scheduled for end of September 2017. A team of ICC's "top current players" will play the matches, added Sethi.

Pakistan and India have not played a full series against each other since 2007, though Pakistan toured India for a short series in December 2012.

Good decision by PCB, only if it does indeed follow up on this sue! Although, the BCCI should have been sued by PCB some 2 years back.

Who wants to play India? Sethi is not thinking right. Leave Indians alone. Sethi must understand that current Indian government will not allow anything which is anyway beneficial to Pakistan or its people. Forget India and concentrate on improving our domestic cricket structure.

No use of suing for MOU. It is not a contract, just an understanding between two parties not an agreement. Even big businesses sign MOU before actually signing an agreement. No court will give a decision in favor of PCB.

Mr.Sethi...it's not easy to Sue BCCI...it's just a MOU and not a binding contract. Instead focus on building Pakistan Team and the removing politics in the Team. Provide infrastructure to local bodies and focus on improving Domestic cricket. It's a sheer waste of time Suing BCCI..every one knows it's just a eye wash. As long as India Pakistan improve the relations we cannot see cricket happening between 2 countries...lets accept it and move on.

I would like to say that Indian Cricket Team should withdraw themselves from Champions Trophy. See how the champions trophy will go to the biggest failure as happened when in 2007 World Cup. ICC will afterwards will lick boots Of BCCI. It is clear that PCB is beggar because it itself is poor board and goes after begging BCCI to play with them.Now Pakistani people will teach me and give me explanations,but I would like to tell them it is not about kashmir Issue that we are not playing but for Mumbai 26/11,Pathankot air base,Uri attacks. And if happens that in any case BCCI allows players to play with Pakistan, indian Cricket Team will never play with them.

PCB should not go ahead to act in haste. Always diplomacy is the best way to handle such issues. Millions of Cricket lovers from India and Pakistan are eagerly waiting to see resumption of cricket ties between the two countries. As a result of the recent set back India may revise her policy in dealing with Pakistan. If this happens, it will benefit both countries.

This is a farce. The PCB officers are playing these stunt periodically to justify their hold on the organization. If Sethi is really intent to put his rhetoric in action, he should get some legal advice from a learned international legal person(s), rather than waste time and scarce PCB resources in adventurisms.
