The trailer for Saba Qamar’s debut Bollywood film Hindi Medium is out, and my word, she’s looking absolutely stunning in it. Not just that, she looks the part (of a mother who wants her child to do well in a society that’s riddled with class inequalities).

Irrfan Khan, who is playing her husband in the movie, looks equally at ease perhaps because the role of a middle-classiya is right up his street. The film has been accused of plagiarising of a popular Bengali film but we still can’t wait for the movie to hit the screens. It is sad that the relations between the two countries aren’t good, otherwise Saba Q would have set Bollywood on fire. Right, Mahira?
