Two students arrested in Lahore for blackmailing girl

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime arrested on Wednesday two students for blackmailing a girl.

An official told Dawn that two students – one of engineering and other of information technology – would blackmail a girl after making an objectionable video of her.

On her complaint, the FIA investigated the matter and subsequently arrested the students and registered a case against them under the cyber law.

How did they get the video in first place?. They hacked into her social media accounts or is it another girlfriend boyfriend fiasco i wonder. Anyways engineering and it student involved in this blackmailing that the worst part.

More than the police, media plays a bigger role by highlighting such issues, this creates awareness among people and they get intelligent enough not get caught up in such practice.

in first place who did the girl land herself in a situation where the boys were able to blackmail her.in addition to the laws to arrest the cyber criminal, moral decay of the society also needs to be focused on. Internet is full of selfies and videos of young people who are willing to nude on internet in the name of modernity
