GUJRAT: A Google team from Singapore visited Hafiz Hayat Campus of the University of Gujrat on Tuesday as part of reaching out to the students interested in designing, developing and monetising content for websites and mobile applications.

Google’s Waqas Burney, web manager, and Ahmad Nawaz, Apps manager, strategic online partnerships, South Asia, briefed the students and teachers about blogging, web designing, App developing and content writing at a seminar titled “Google for Publishers Pakistan”.

Mr Burney explained how Google AdSense helped website owners make money.

Mr Nawaz spoke on AdMob. He said that 675 UoG students had already registered with the Google programme.

He said that Google also provided scholarships to students for their career-building.
