QUETTA: Frontier Corps and police arrested nine suspects and seized illegal arms and ammunition during raids conducted in Quetta, Zhob and Pasni on Monday.

Official sources said that the raids in Quetta and Zhob were conducted on tip-offs. Six suspects were arrested during these raids.

According to FC spokesman Khan Wasey, the paramilitary troops raided places in the Kharotabad and Killi Bangulzai areas of Quetta and took four suspects into custody. The weapons seized during these raids included two SMGs and two pistols.

He said the FC personnel arrested two suspects in Zhob after seizing narcotics from their possession.

Meanwhile, police arrested three suspects in a raid in a Pasni coastal area in Gwadar district. Illegal weapons, including two Kalashnikovs, repeaters, rifles and rounds, and other items, such as satellite phone, laptops and two vehicles, were seized during the raid.

The arrested men were allegedly involved in heinous crimes.
