QUETTA: Two women and a child were killed and six others injured when a dumper truck carrying earth for a construction company hit a rickshaw near the Women’s University on Brewery Road on Monday.

The injured included two women, two children and drivers of the truck and another rickshaw, police said. The truck went out of control when its brakes failed.

The heavy vehicle knocked down the rickshaw and dragged it to some distance before getting overturned and hitting the other rickshaw.

The deceased were identified as Razia Bibi, Ruqia Bibi and baby Samina Arshad.
