About 11,000 Americans turn 65 every day, and communities and workplaces around the nation are adjusting to changing demographics. But this growth in the older population also seems to be changing the US box office. Audiences flocked to two recent films that featured stars from the baby boomer generation: ‘Creed,’ starring Sylvester Stallone, cost $37m to make, but earned $174m; and ‘The Intern’ with Robert De Niro earned $195m, but was made for only $35m.
