KARACHI: Opener Alam Zaib struck an unbeaten 97 to guide City Gymkhana to a crushing eight-wicket victory over Orangi Star CC in the KCCA Zone-VI Daud Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament here the other day.

Batting first at the Sakhi Hasan Gymkhana Ground, Orangi Star CC were all out for 157 with Burhan Khan making 42. Off-spinner Abdul Wahab claimed three wickets for 27 runs. City Gymkhana then romped home in just 17 overs as Alam slammed nine boundaries and three sixes in his brilliant innings.
