ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General (DG) Mohammad Amlish was removed from his position on Monday evening, sources told Dawn.
The move came hours after the FIA DG attended a high-level meeting, chaired by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, where he was grilled about reports that were leaked to the media. The minister had said that an inquiry would be conducted into the matter.
According to a participant of the meeting, DG Amlish reportedly said: “It seems as if I have lost your confidence”. The minister responded by saying, “I will talk to you later.”
But just hours later, Mr Amlish — who was appointed FIA DG in March this year — was removed from his post.
During the meeting, the minister also asked the FIA to submit its long-, medium- and short-term plans for the reorganisation of the agency and to specify the timeline set for these plans, according to an official statement.

It is proven history of Pakistan that public servant do not leave their lucrative job unless they are forced by the influentials or simply due to their honest nature they could not toe the wrong policies of the influentials.The word government is completely missing from Pakistan as it is good governance whereas in Pakistan there is corruption and nepotism as said by CJ.

Whatever reasons would be but relieving a person so unceremoniously rather disgracefully cannot be approved.
Mr M Amlish was right when he spoke of an inquiry into the matter of departmental news exposure/leakage to media.
A person who was appointed just 45 days ago was fired without giving opportunity of fair hearing.
Mr Amlish would be better among worse and corrupt bureaucracy in our country.This is why he was brought to prize posting of DG FIA, but he failed to deliver as seen his treatment.
Government servants who have bit of integrity they speak out on face of their superiors,hence suffer from hardship/ wrath.
