MITHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani on Tuesday condemning illegal hunting demanded registration of a case under relevant laws against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNAs Faqeer Sher Mohammad Bilalani, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah and MPA Sardar Khan Chandio for hunting down five deer and some other rare species during their incursion on Sunday and Monday in Nagarparkar.

Taking exception to the lawmakers’ activity, Mr Vankwani quoted media reports that the PPP lawmakers did not even seek the requisite game permission from the authorities concerned.

The report stirred an uproar in Tharparkar district as civil society and animal rights activists widely condemned the alleged violation of relevant laws as well as game laws by lawmakers, who they said were supposed to legislate and ensure implementation of laws.
