Larkana traffic

Published November 30, 2015

AN anti-encroachment campaign has been launched in Larkana to resolve traffic-related problems.

Although the campaign is welcomed, encroachments are not the only problem worsening the traffic system. There are various traffic-related problems in Larkana. With the rise in Larkana’s population, its roads are shrinking. This situation worsens when people park their cars on roads and disappear for hours. As long as other related actions are not taken, this situation will not improve. It will improve when a car-removal cell is set up in Larkana.

Action must also be taken against shopkeepers who place their items on both sides of the road. They occupy much of the space of the narrow roads. Shopkeepers who sell building material have started to place it on the sides of the road. Sand and other materials fly into the eyes of motorcyclists.

There must be parking areas where hotels, hospitals, schools, colleges, etc., are located. There isn’t a single private hospital or school in Larkana that has its own parking lot. They are minting millions of rupees but don’t provide any parking facility. No hospital or school should be allowed to be built unless it has a parking area of its own.
