FAISALABAD: The district administration has decided to seal the buildings and cancel registration of private schools being run in the residential areas.

The direction was given by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Ameen Mengal on Friday while he was listening to public complaints in his office.

He asked the education department officials to ensure the status of the premises of private schools during departmental proceedings and pay attention to the location of schools and design of buildings.

He said strict action would be taken against the responsible officers if any private school was found in residential areas.

The DCO said land of all state-run schools must be protected and the teachers taking part in politics should be sent home without any delay.

Strict action must be taken against the teachers who left the schools after marking their attendance, he added.
