Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra are expecting their first child, Hindustan Times reported.

The news was revealed by Rani's sister-in-law, TV actor Jyoti Mukerji. When asked about Rani's pregnancy, Jyoti told a Mumbai-based tabloid, "Yes, Rani is pregnant."

The rumour was first sparked when Rani was spotted at a London spa, where she was said to be getting a prenatal spa. "Rani has been away from media glare for some time now, and there are speculations that she is pregnant. She was recently spotted holidaying in London, where she looked relaxed, and was glowing," a Mumbai tabloid quoted a source as saying.

The actor, who is travelling out of India at present, is reportedly in her second trimester and the baby is expected in January 2016, according to reports. She is keeping a low public profile, as is Aditya Chopra's habit since their marriage at a quiet ceremony in Italy in April 2014.
