Court order

Published August 30, 2015

EVEN after the Supreme Court’s orders to remove oil tankers from Clifton Block 1area, many tankers are still seen either parked or hovering around in this neighbourhood.

The illegal occupation of public space by the tankers and the allied businesses that service the tankers still thrive at the cost of the residents’ peace.

Many of these businesses are stealing electricity. That is not all; such activities are also a cause of environmental degradation and pollution.

The residents of this locality hope that the streets and public places are made free as has been done in case of the main Clifton Block 1 road parallel to the beach.
