Ever since it was revealed that Strings will be giving the music for Jami's Moor, fans have been waiting to hear the first strains from the soundtrack. While there are about three weeks to the film's release, here is a little present for all those who have been waiting: the official soundtrack of Moor, 'Talabgaar' is out now.

Sung by the soulful Javed Bashir of Meekal Hasan Band and Coke Studio fame, 'Talabgaar' is an impassioned plea in a qawali style. Given that the film explores the sociopolitical dynamics of Baluchistan, the songs have a sombre strain.

The song, which opens up with words 'Talabgaar hon jholi bhari rakhiyo', has been penned by none other than veteran writer Anwar Maqsood. Zooming in the fluffy white peaks and snowy lands, the video shows various scenes from the films.

In an an earlier press meet, it was also announced that Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood have also lent their vocals for solo singles in the film. Singers like Rahma Ali, Meesha Shafi and Rahim Shah (for a Pushto song) have also contributed to Moor's soundtrack. Although more songs are yet to come, the music of 'Talabgaar' will certainly have fans count the days to more song releases.

Moor is set to release on Independence Day, August 14 2015.
