QUETTA: Three labourers were shot dead in a welding shop on Sirki Road on Wednesday.

According to police, men on a motorcycle opened fire on the three working in the shop, leaving them critically injured. They were taken to hospital but they could not survive.

Law-enforcement personnel cordoned off the area to trace the attackers. However, no arrest could be made till late night.

The deceased were identified as Asad Qureshi, Mohammad Waris Qureshi and Mohammad Nadir Qureshi. According to doctors, they had suffered multiple bullet wounds.

Police registered a case and started investigation.

AFP adds: Capital City Police Officer Abdul Razzaq Cheema said it appeared to be an “ethnic” killing as the victims were from Punjab.
