LAHORE: The IOC Solidarity Badminton Technical Coaching Course, allotted by the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) to the Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF), began here at a local hotel on Monday.

POA secretary-general Mohammad Khalid Mehmood inaugurated the 15-day-long course with PBF senior vice-president Syed Naqi Mohsin thanking POA chief Syed Arif Hasan for giving them the course.

Naqi also thanked international coach Sambenthan Sivaperumal, who he said “is one of the best badminton coaches in the Asian Confederation” and the Badminton World Federation (BWF) for providing facilities to the PBF. Sivaperumal also explained the contents of the course.

Khaild, meanwhile, stressed upon the participants — 20 coaches from all over the country to take full benefits from the course and also thanked the IOC and BWF.
