And you thought that Bollywood actors were a bunch of fame-loving people who didn’t give a hoot about life’s intricacies. Well, guess what has recently inspired Ranbir Kapoor! None other than that critically acclaimed existentialist novel The Outsider by Albert Camus.

Ranbir K was recently found talking to a friend about the book, saying once he started reading it, he couldn’t put it down till he finished the story. He was so taken in by the novel that he now even feels like its central character Meursault who has a blasé attitude to life and doesn’t cry when his mother passes away. The actor claims he too has now stopped shedding tears and is looking forward to doing the role of Meursault, or some such character, in the future. Come to think of it Ranbir K, you don’t have to do such a part, because film-goers cry bucketful of tears enough every time they see your movies. Roy, for example.
