A plea to Iesco

Published March 28, 2015

THE federal government has recently announced revised recruitment policy 2014 to ensure merit-based selections on vacant posts. The unemployed talented youths took a sigh of relief on promulgation of this policy.

In compliance with the revised government recruitment policy, some power-sector companies like the NTDC and Pesco, as well as NAB, advertised vacant posts through the National Testing Service (NTS), a credible and experienced testing agency.

Meanwhile, the Iesco advertised vacant posts through an unknown outsource agency on March 8. No information is available about examination centres on its website.

I think a credible outsource testing agency should be selected for recruitment through open competition.

We, as citizens of Pakistan, demand Iesco’s management and the ministry of water and power authorities to revise this decision and select an outsource agency of well-repute to ensure transparency in recruitment and discourage violation of merit.
