PESHAWAR: Humam Ahmad, Ismail Khan, Rohid Asghar and Ibrahim Mohib entered the semi-finals of the PSB Junior Age Group Squash Championship on Wednesday.

In the first quarter-final, second seed Humam beat Salman Gul 3-1 in a thrilling battle.

Humam lost the first game 8-11 but staged a strong comeback by winning the next games 11-6, 11-7 and 11-7.

In the second quarter-final, Ibrahim, the top seed of the age group, faced tough resistance from Hassan Zahid during five games but ultimately winning the match 12-10, 11-9, 10-12, 7-11 and 11-9. Ismail beat Hussain 11-9, 11-6, 11-8 in the third quarter, while Rohid overcame Arsh Khan 11-8, 11-7, 11-7.

Under-11: Noor Zaman bt Fahad Sharif 12-10, 5-11, 11-8, 11-9; Mohammad Ammad bt Hamza Zahid 11-9, 11-7, 11-8; Huzafa Zahid bt Mazhar Ali Shah 11-7, 10-12, 11-7, 11-9; Asad Ullah Khan bt Talha Iqbal 11-5, 11-7, 11-9.

Under-13: Aziz Shoukat bt Ahmad Hussain 11-9, 11-7, 11-6.
