Bollywood actor Rahul Bhat is portraying two different politicians in his upcoming films Aur Devdas and Fitoor, however the actor has put an end to the rumour mill when he told Hindustan Times (HT) that he is not portraying Rahul Gandhi or Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in those films.

"Yes, I am playing a politician’s son in Sudhir Mishra’s next, Aur Devdas, which is based out of Uttar Pradesh. But it’s not Rahul Gandhi. The film is a modern take on Devdas," Bhat told HT. "And strangely, people are comparing me to Bilawal Bhutto in my other film [Fitoor], in which I play a Pakistani politician’s heir apparent."

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic 'Great Expectations', Fitoor is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and stars Rahul Bhat, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Rekha and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles.

While the actor agrees that people will draw parallels, he chooses to remain indifferent about it and is keen on enjoying a "great career phase".

"Things have become beautiful after Ugly released. I got critical acclaim and that brought me several good film scripts," he said.
