At least eight people were killed and dozens injured in an apparent attack on Lahore's police headquarters on Tuesday. The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) later claimed responsibility for the attack. Huge plumes of smoke were visible in the air in the heavily populated area which was quickly cordoned off by security personnel. Several vehicles parked near the site of the blast caught fire and window panes in nearby buildings were also shattered.

People are carrying the injured by picking them up by their hands and feet and leaving their necks dangling back. If they have injuries on their neck, arms or legs, it's only gonna make it worse. Don't they have a stretcher??

@sharabi The medical professionals are trained to handle such trauma...the worst part is when good samaritans try to help the injured they're actually doing more harm...a professional first aid is extremely vital for the patient...that decides if the patient survives or not, or if he recovers completely...

Please dont do anything in Lahore. It belongs to Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif. They are busy building roads and bringing in transports, other matters its not their concern.
Shahabz Shafit should resign if he cant protect the people of Pakistan.

@rahul that was exactly my observation. If you look at the EMS pics they have stretchers but the police needs training so they don't worsen these injuries and cause paralysis. Of course more EMS personnel are needed in a country where crisis is unfortunately an every day occurrence.

Why do you always think that your neighbour is doing so? You all are misguided by your leader just to rule over the poor people like you. Your neighbour always like to respect you brother but unfortunatly you all are taught to hate your brothers. The buisiness of terror is running by your leader to get the sympathy of your to divert your mind from the actual problems to the neighbours.

Perhaps, it would be good to start a basic public safety response training messages on TV. Some basic guidelines telling how to carry an injured person for general public. All these pictures show the worst possible position some injured person is being carried off. Does the police even have the proper emergency response training to handle the injured.

Really sad, innocent people whether it is in India or Pakistan should never become victims of terror...they're afterall sons, father, brothers and sisters to someone. Its time for Pakistan to crackdown on militants on an unbiased basis and seriously. Terror groups can never become strategic assets of a nation, but can only become liabilities in the long run.

Are these attacks ground work for ISIS to take over? Is Pak Army capable of challenging ISIS? I think, Pakistanis should unite to shed off the Arab pride - and become South Asians first

This is the common scene all over the world in the aftermath of an terrorist act. Do you see the pain, fear and agony on the faces of people? The rascals who do this have no religion whether he is a Muslim, Hindu, Christian or a Buddhist. They are the enemy of the mankind. We worry so much about the global warming to save mankind but what about this extreme degradation of human values, lives and mankind? We have not seen the results of global warming yet but we are already witnessing the destruction of mankind. Our IMMEDIATE PRIORITY is to save people who are to enjoy life which is being cut short for no reason of theirs. To root out this menace, global efforts are needed from ALL the habitat of the globe. The Anti - terrorism summit held at present could be the first step in this direction. Of course we need many many summits and efforts to succeed. This is the war we can not afford to loose. Therefore let us all join hands and form a global human chain of security around the globe to protect every citizen. Our mother is same - the mother earth. Therefore we are all brothers and sisters.

@rahul Yes, they didn't have the stretcher. In Pakistan, we don't have stretchers, at every corner of every street. No one saw this coming. They could either have waited for the ambulance and the stretcher to arrive, or carried the injured to the hospital. Mind you, the two way trip of the ambulance, from the hospital to the injured, and then back to the hospital, takes twice as much time then the trip only to the hospital.

while our leaders make recycled speeches about not tolerating the violence in Pakistan, "Islamic" revolution seems just around the corner and since its no threat to our leaders because their assets and families are either in the foreign countries or can be moved instantly in a safe place, no one cares. They are pocketing money given to them by their kissing cousins for fighting terrorism and living merrily. Our country's youth like Jibran and others need to take matters into their own hands.
It hurts to see our beautiful country in such a state from afar. I feel people like me who left Pakistan, now need to do something about it. All we do is right comments on how to run the country but how many of us will leave their comfort zone and fight for our birth place?

Its just horrible what happens to injured people.
They are lifted by their legs one higher than the other.
they are lifted one hand and one leg. and so on and so forth.
Its better not to be injured in Pakistan. The people lifting you will kill you..
Do these guys know such a thing as stretcher.

All this destabilization is done to destabilize pakistan. the one who give direction is America,Israil and other powers who does not watch pakistan as a progreeing country. they train the TTP, LJ and ISIL and fully support them to destablize pakistan. they attack in Shikarpour , Army public school Peshawar and many other places. But we are united under Pak Army and inshallah we will defeat them as soon as possible.

@lala not that we like our leader. He is equally culpable. On the other hand, in a video, India's intelligence agency official itself admitted of funding the Taliban and called it a "defensive offense stragtegy".
