KARACHI: A suspected robber was gunned down in an encounter in Sohrab Goth on Friday, claimed police.

Police official said that a police party came upon two robbers who busy were looting people near Indus Plaza. On seeing police, they opened fire but when police fired back one robber was gunned down while his accomplice managed to flee, said police.

The identity of the suspected robber could not be ascertained immediately while police found in his pockets a TT pistol, mobile phones, wristwatches and cash he had looted from people, said SHO Ismail Lashari.
