PESHAWAR: The Uthmankhel Pakhtun Ittehad has vowed to revive relations with the tribe’s elders in Bajaur Agency and Malakand protected area.

The pledge was made at a meeting of the Ittehad held at Sangao village in Mardan. Uthmankhel elders from of five villages, including Mian Khan, Sangao, Peepal, Kohi and Barmol attended the meet and vowed that ties among the tribesmen would be revived for their collective well-being.

They said that the lost links among the scattered population would be re-established from the platform of Uthmankhel Pakhtun Ittehad.

Those spoke on the occasion included Ghulam Ameen, Haji Akbar Shah, Awais Khan, Tajbar Khan, Samar Gul, Lutfullah Khan, Dr Mir Alam, Zuhrab Gul, Fayyaz Gul, Malak Mohammad Gul, Prof Yar Mohammad Toofan, Shan Akbar, Malak Saaf Khan, former MNA Haji Mohammad Khan and the Ittehad president Haji Bahadur Shah.

The speakers urged the tribe to unite under one banner for their common cause as disputes over petty issues had destroyed their unity and cohesion.

Patron-in-chief of Uthmankhel tribe Dr Fasihuddin was the chief guest on the occasion.
