Ten injured in Karachi grenade attack

KARACHI: At least ten people, including one woman and two children, have been injured after a grenade attack in Karachi's Bhimpura locality, DawnNews reported.

The injured have been taken to Civil Hospital where they are being treated for their wounds.

Police have said that the grenade attack was carried out by criminals linked with the Lyari gang war.

In the aftermath of the attack security arrangements have been increased in the area with law enforcement agencies cordoning off the area.

Earlier this month, five people had been injured after a grenade attack in the Baghdadi area of Lyari Town.

Lyari is one of the poorest and most violent neighbourhoods of Karachi where clashes between rival gangs linked to political and ethnic groups erupt continuously.
