Entertaining children and youngsters alike for 10 years, fantasy series Harry Potter finally got some limelight at the Oscars. Having a cast of Academy-Award winners and nominees, Harry Potter has been nominated for 12 Academy-Awards but has come to be known as “most-snubbed-top-grossing franchise of all time", reported Time.
The Academy posted 27 different pieces of the magical journey of The Boy Who Lived, on its official website.

Decked with pictures from different scenes of the films, the page features clippings from stirring news reports along with posters.
A clipping of the launch of Harry Potter’s website by Warner Brothers in 2001 is also published on the page.
In 2012, Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry Potter spoke about the snub and said, "I don’t think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids’ films, unless they’re directed by Martin Scorsese. I was watching Hugo the other day and going, ‘Why is this nominated and we’re not?’ I was slightly miffed. … There’s a certain amount of snobbery. It’s kind of disheartening. I never thought I’d care. But it would’ve been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in.”
