LARKANA: The judicial remand of a young suspect arrested along with his two alleged accomplices in a kidnapping, criminal assault and murder of a five-year-old girl was on Friday extended for another three days and he was sent to the juvenile jail after verification of his age.

The other two suspects, who had been in police remand for about a week, were also remanded in judicial custody for three days.

All three suspects were produced before Larkana Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Mohammed Riaz Rajput on Friday on the expiry of their respective remand.

The victim’s body was found dumped in a house located in Yar Mohammed Kalhoro Colony within the jurisdiction of the Waleed police station on Dec 27, 2014 and her post-mortem reports verified assault, criminal assault and strangulation.

The police informed the judge that an investigation into the case had been completed and a final charge-sheet against the suspects would be submitted on Monday, sources said.
