LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that all institutions in the country are united in the fight against terrorism.
Talking to a delegation of the United Arab Emirates at his residence in Raiwind on Saturday, the prime minister said that Operation Zarb-i-Azb was being carried out successfully and the government would eliminate the menace of terrorism. “Pakistan’s main focus is to eliminate terrorism,” he said.
All political parties have gathered on one platform on the issue, he said, adding it would help the country rid of terrorism.
The Arab princes condemned the killing of schoolchildren in Peshawar and expressed solidarity with the grieving families. They offered the UAE’s help in fight against terrorism.
PM Sharif also held a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and discussed measures against terrorism.
Shahbaz Sharif said terrorism had caused an irreparable loss to the country and had to be rooted out.
He expressed the hope that the country by remaining united would win the war against terrorism at any cost. He noted that the nation had united against terrorism. “We have to make Pakistan a peaceful state and provide a safer Pakistan to next generation,” he said.

Safer Pakistan is only possible if you eliminate all TERRORISTS (Good and Bad), not only TALIBANs (Good & Bad). Fight against terrorism should not be confined to western border. It should be conducted on eastern border, to root out LeT, JeM etc.

If Pakistan is really interested to root out the terrorism, it should change the mindset of people. I understand that in schools the students are taught that India is not a friend. Such methodology to inflict nationalism need to be replaced.

Military should restart compulsory training of students with arms and ammunition; Every Pakistani student be trained for military style fighting. All the schools, Colleges and Universities should have 200 trained students on Government pay roll trained as military and rotate in military on regular basis, once they finish their education, new generation should move in their places, as trained military personal; they will be extension of military in schools, Colleges and Universities, 50% be females.

The roots are very deep and are lateral as well as horizontal you'll have to dig out the dirt until you reach the bedrock beware of huge rocks and tree stumps in the way these are gonna need chain and pulleys to budge a lot of blood and sweat of the masses will be shed in this project

PM Sharif is more terrified than an ordinary Pakistani. An action against terrorists will be taken only under Army's pressure and reluctantly. CM Punjab doesn't dare arrest Ahmed Ludhianavi and Malik Ishaq.

One should include this in the agreement you make with PTI as they have not as yet outrightly condemned the group that murdered our children and teachers. It is time we all are on the same page before we go on with promises. The leader of PTI never minced any words on this container but does not find the words to loud and clearly make his statement on this group.

its as simple as that.
given the history of PML N and the all armed forces where the nucleus of pakistan power has always been vested, then they are already like a very bad marriage (given their history) - as such it is unlikely that they will be able to work at a common long drawn, up-hill difficult task.
they have their hands dirty and it is likely to end up in a blame game , power/narrative struggle again

It's about time the PM showed guts to name the individuals sought for the recent terror attacks and also arrest the lunatic sitting in the lal masjid. Also those terrorists being prepared for hanging should be hanged within 24hrs, why the wait Mr PM? just be a man and get the job done. Also, I am a PTI supporter but would like to hear more condemnation from the PTI, who seem to be quiet at the moment.

I hope he is sincere in his comments and will not be swayed by Saudi Arabia who is funding all this. If PM does not deliver this time then he will not win next election so I hope he does something for whatever reason it may be. We want peace and prosperity in this country.

This must be sign of a nation with dead conscious, whilst quite rightly they shared the grief and pain inflicted on innocent children in Peshawar. Why are you not pouring tears out on the streets, screaming your heads off, can't you count these children of Tharparkar are greater in numbers. Oh I get it, these children are killed under the watch of 2 main political parties, in their killing is ruling PMLN and PPP stand together, army, judiciary, and all other political parties including most the journalist and public alike are watching senselessly. I am sure I'll very soon get response from someone defending this continue carnage and would not stop there either will tell me how great this nation is. One thing is sure; with all the tragedies this administration is enjoying more support now than ever before. Even PTI who lost their own supporters in the hands of government sponsored terrorism accepted this is to be a way of life in Pakistan.

please do not teach any lessons which teaches the hateration towards other religion.especially in childrens textbook.this is the basic thing .in india our school text book never teaches such idiology. in all sector all religion people are taking part and becoming helpful to country development. constitution has given equal right. now you compare and be judge of yourself.more then 25 cores minorities are enjoying their rights. those who have been remain in india after independence have given good contribution in development ,

Mr. Sharif. for your knowledge terrorism, happens solely when the Government, do not build, school, colleges, university and show the youngster the culture of better life. When the Politicians are corrupt, does money laundering, rule for self interest, plundering the countries wealth , Poll rigging. When the Government is corrupt or let me put it in a simple term. When the father of the house is corrupt, what you expect from children.
Mr. Sharif have guts and come out clean and be brave enough to admit your corruption or else I see same fate for all the corrupt Politician are on card as it is now trial by the military Court.
