Bollywood A-lister Hrithik Roshan has been crowned the World’s Sexiest Asian Man for the third time in four years in the 11th edition of the ’50 Sexiest Asian Men In The World’ list, produced annually by UK’s weekly newspaper, Eastern Eye.

Ali Zafar, who had bagged the title last year, slipped to third place this time and our very own Khoobsurat star Fawad Khan, was number seven in a record-breaking year that saw more than 10 million votes cast in all.

Earlier this month, Priyanka Chopra was crowned 'World's Sexiest Asian Woman' by Eastern Eye.

Television actor and Guahar Khan’s boyfriend, Kushal Tandon, surprised everyone by taking second place.

TV actor Vivian D’Sena, who made it to the top 10 for the first time, was fourth.

Shahid Kapoor took the fifth position and Ranbir Kapoor came in eighth, followed by Salman Khan in 10th place.

Pakistani singer Atif Aslam, took the 40th position.

Hrithik was appreciative of his title: “Thank you Eastern Eye. I am humbled by the desirable tag. I believe sexy is less to do with the physical and more to do with the mental perspective on life, others and yourself."

Eastern Eye showbiz editor Asjad Nazir, founder of the list and chair of the judging panel, believes Hrithik is on his way to becoming India’s first global cinematic superstar.

“The reason why Hrithik is regularly voted top is that he ticks all the boxes. He is a talented actor, is the best dancer in Bollywood, has arguably the best physique and has the kind of humility that connects him to the everyday individual,” Nazir said.

Indian television actors dominated the 2014 list, including Barun Sobti (6), Ashish Sharma (14), Gurmeet Choudhary (11), Karan Singh Grover (12), Karan Tacker (16), Kunwar Amar (17), Harshad Arora (19), Gautam Rode (20), Rithvik Dhanjani (21) and Aham Sharma (27).

Virat Kohli is the only sportsman to have made his way to the list at 38th position.

Other notable Bollywood names included in the list are Shah Rukh Khan (13), Sidharth Malhotra (15), Arjun Kapoor (18) and Ranveer Singh (22).
