PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that the federal government is least bothered to resolve the problems being faced by the internally displaced persons otherwise the affected families can be easily accommodated in Punjab till their rehabilitation.

He said this while talking to mediapersons after offering ‘fateha’ for the departed soul of Usman Bilour here on Wednesday. The PML-Q leader said that he was ready to welcome IDPs at his residence for stay till completion of the military operation in Waziristan Agency.

“It is very easy to accommodate 0.1 million IDPs in Punjab, but Sharif brothers are not sincere to adjust them in the province,” Mr Hussain said and added that even the well-off people could also support the displaced families if the government took concrete steps for their welfare.

He said that if the federal government was really sincere it should shift the IDPs to Punjab so that the well-off people could easily support them. “It is very shocking that the federal government instead of extending support is baton charging the IDPs,” the PML-Q leader said.

Mr Hussain also expressed his shock over the killing of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf activist in Faisalabad and Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers in Model Town, Lahore, and said that the Punjab government had failed to protect the life and property of the people while Sharif brothers had no right to remain in power any longer.

Says Sharifs not sincere in resolving problems of displaced people

The PML-Q president said that his party would always support the oppressed people and raise voice against the tyrants.

“We are with the affected families without any doubt,” he maintained. He urged the Punjab government to focus on real issues of the province and avoid wasting national money otherwise the people knew how to recover the looted money from the plunderers.

About the development schemes completed during PML-Q government, he said the entire nation was witness to the performance of his party and thus it would re-emerge as the largest party in the country in the next elections.

Mr Hussain was accompanied by his party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Intikhab Chamkani and other offi ce-bearers who remained for some time at Bilour House and shared his feelings with MNA Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, Haroon Bilour and other members of the aggrieved family over the sudden death of Usman Bilour, son of late Bashir Ahmed Bilour.
