PESHAWAR: Police claimed on Saturday to have arrested three kidnappers, including two real brothers, and recovered a kidnap victim during a raid here in limits of Badbher police station on the outskirts of Peshawar city.

A police spokesman said that the kidnap victim, Noor Baaz, son of Meena Baaz of Ghari Malan, had been abducted by unknown persons from his residence on August 17. His mother Gul Zareen had lodged a report with Badbher police station stating that unknown armed men had kidnapped her son.

Following a tip-off, police conducted a raid at a house near Och Nehr Badbher and recovered the youth, who had been chained. The youth said that he had been kidnapped for ransom but his family was unable to pay millions of rupees for his release.

The police also arrested three kidnappers identified as Mukhtiar and Gulistan, the two brothers, of Mashokhel and Zubair of Shaikh Mohammadi area.

Police also recovered a hand grenade and three pistols from the possession of the accused persons.

Police said that the accused persons had also admitted to their involvement in heinous crimes cases like extortion.

A case was registered against them at the Badbher police station and investigation began.
