INCHEON: Veteran Pakistani marksman Ayaz Tahir finished 38th in 50-M Rifle Prone shooting event of 17th Asian Games at Ongnyeon International Shooting Range on Thursday.

Ayaz, who has represented Pakistan in several Asian Games, and had won a bronze in the Machester Commonwealth Games in 2006, mustered the total of 609.2 points in seven rounds in the pack of 52-shooter.

He collected his best of 104.3 in the final round after scoring 100.5, 99.6, 101.1, 101.3, 102.4 in the first six rounds. The other Pakistani Siddique Umar finished 41st position with a total of 608.9 after having rounds of 99.4, 102.7, 101.9, 102.0, 102.3 and 100.6.

China's Zho Shiengbo finished on the top of qualification rounds by scoring 626.2 points.
