ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq has advised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to get in touch with Pakistan Tehrek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan.
Haq's call comes as clashes are under way in Islamabad between PTI and PAT protests and law enforcement personnel in Islamabad's Constitution Avenue and at least one protester has died as a result.
The clash began when the protesters began to march towards Prime Minister House from D-chowk where they were previously camping.
The situation in the capital is taking on critical proportions with three deaths reported so far among the protesters and the prime minister having left for Islamabad a day before he was originally scheduled to.
Sunday also witnessed a number of attacks on media personnel by personnel from law enforcement agencies.

Shameful act from government and its machinery, provoking peaceful protestors. What do you expect from the people of Pakistan when there is a wide GAP between rich and poor, and influential people like Sharifs, Chaudhry, Zaridis, etc are always in power and they always put themselves first before Pakistan. The Sharif's era has brought tremendous shame to Pakistan an d for they should be accountable for every wounded citizen of Pakistan.

Sirajul haq should publicly announce what their standpoint is with respect to these crisis? If the demands particularly of resignations of NS is justified then they should side with IK and if not then they should side with NS. Playing on both sides had never been the history of JI.

With all due respect Mr Sirajul Haque should advise IK to come to his senses and talk to govt ,also to drop the demand for PM's resignation and agree investigation by Supreme Court Judges.Sirajul Haque sahib should advise IK confidentially as well as publically .Deaths and injuries during the protests are sole responsibility of IK &TQ,they are the ones who incited their followers to invade govt property and to attack police with various types of weapons,slings(ghoulales) with marbles and stones ,lathies all are lethal weapons .Police had to response when attacked in this manner and T Q has also got people with guns and they may have used these as well as other contraptions .
