Lahore judge's order for FIR against Sharifs challenged

LAHORE: Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed has challenged the ruling of a Lahore court which ordered the registration of a murder case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, several other PML-N leaders and some police officials over the June 17 Model Town incident.

Rasheed challenged the ruling in the Lahore High Court in a personal capacity which the court has admitted for hearing.

The petition will be heard today by Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa of the LHC.

The petition contends that the ruling of the sessions judge that ordered the registration of cases was not based on the reality of situation, adding that the order be suspended.

Eleven supporters of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) were killed and scores were wounded in the June 17 Model Town incident.

so the government is challenging the decision which registers an FIR, which is the basis of any investigation? And then they claim on TV that the protesters are derailing democracy.

It took Rasheed 8 days to challenge the ruling of sessions judge. This shows how much delaying tactics the N people are using. Firstly Shahbaz sit on the report for 7 days then it was released after City 42 leaked the report. All these delaying tactics results in too much financial loss to the treasury.

During a speech Imran Khan said that in his early days Nawaz used to play cricket at gymkhana, but only after he got his own empires. Now these impostors have waited until their chief justice (the present chief justice of Lahore high court was their lawyer in the hijacking case (according to Dr. Tahirul Qadr)) has taken over to file the case.

Justice is the fundamental element of social sustenance. It is however evident in Pakistan that difference in justice for rich and poor is widening day by day. It is a law of nature that this vacuum is filled from somewhere. Please wake up! Do support change

pakistan judicial system is so flawed.........one can walk in to a police station and nominate anyone's name in a FIR.........without any linkage or basic evidence of some sort..........i question the policemen and judges credibility........wonder what these fellow do with their brains.........if they are listening......put some sense in your decisions, be productive and efficient........don't add cost to a lost cause or efforts in a dead end.

Didn't shahbaz sharif say on record that " I will resign if I'm named in the killings" or something like that. Does the report finds him responsible. I think he should resign now. Just wishful thinking

How dare the courts gave the last decision to file FIR against these two innocent brothers. In fact I call them angles. Clean, honest, dignified, visionaries who work for nothing but the benefit of this nation and the common man. The have served this country day and night for the last many decades. Under their watch Pakistan will be a super power in 4 years. People of Pakistan love these two fine human beings and the role model for the youth and generations to come. The entire youth of this country is crazy about. Wow, they even gave the laptops ( what more could you ask for). Now I really think this nation deserves Nawaz and Shahbaz.
