The ready-to-wear market is booming this summer and riding the wave is Bonanza with its Satrangi’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection presented for the first time in Pakistan. The stitched, wrinkle-free, ready-to-wear outfits in an assortment of 10 vibrant prints are inspired by nature — from earth tones to the fresh hues of spring.

The Satrangi launch was held recently at the revamped Bonanza outlet at Ocean Mall in Clifton, followed by an elaborate hi-tea and a live band with Alicia Dias on vocals. The brief fashion presentation featured models’ hair and make-up by Rana Khan.

Satrangi or ‘seven colours’ focuses on modern women who embody traits such as dignity, elegance, intelligence, integrity, confidence, strength and passion. The line maintains a certain image of women in terms of design, as seen throughout Bonanza’s various other lines that include lawn, prêt, sweaters and accessories.

Also on offer besides ready-to-wear are three lawn designs with chiffon dupattas for those who want to get loose fabric custom-tailored according to specific needs. The designs, all in vibrant prints, echo the same sensibility as the ready-to-wear pieces. All in all, the collection adds much-needed pizzaz to the modern woman’s personal wardrobe.

Bonanza’s Satrangi’s Spring/Summer 2014 launch event was managed by RAK Associates with Maha Burney as the creative director/consultant and with media & PR by Take II. — Ali Khan
