Erdogan arrives in Islamabad after day-long Lahore visit

ISLAMABAD: Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived here Tuesday after concluding his day-long trip to Lahore.

Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid received the Turkish premier at the Noor Khan Airbase.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif accompanied Prime Minister Erdogan from Lahore to Islamabad.

Erdogan will have a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the prime minister's House followed by delegation-level talks.

Pakistan and Turkey will also sign Memoranda of Understandings in different areas.

The Turkish premier arrived in Lahore yesterday where he visited Aitchison College and attended a luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Sharif at his Raiwind residence and graced a business forum as well.
