KARACHI, May 25: Off-spinner Nasir Awais excelled with a five-wicket as Pakistan Navy eased to a comfortable six-wicket victory over Noman Traders in the 19th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-departmental Cricket League at the TMC Ground here on Friday.

Noman Traders, batting first, subsided inside 35 overs for just 115 with Abdur Rehman scoring 36. Nasir, utilizing his vast experience of first-class cricket, proved unplayable with figures of five 43. Off-spinner Raza-ul-Hasan chipped in with two wickets for seven runs.Navy needed only 14.2 overs to reach their modest target for the loss of four wickets. Babar Agha struck exactly 50 that included six boundaries and one six, while the talented left-hander Fakhar Zaman slammed five fours in making 45.

In another match played at the KCCA Stadium, A.J. Worldwide defeated MahRose by 57 runs.

Zakir Ali hammered 61 with four boundaries, Ijaz Shah hit 49 with four fours and one six while Bilal Mughal scored 45 as A.J. Worldwide posted 272-9 in their quota of 50 overs.

Off-spinner Taimur Ali (3-32) and leg-spinner Tariq Shah (3-44) shared the bowling honours.

MahRose, in reply, were dismissed for 215 in the 41st over with Mohammad Asif contributing a splendid 97 that was spiced with 13 boundaries. Ibadullah struck 53 with the aid of five hits to the fence.

The wickets were evenly shared by Mirza Ahsan Jamil, Ijaz Shah and Bilal Mughal who claimed two wickets apiece.
