KARACHI, May 22: Unseeded Mahin Aftab registered a crushing 6-0, 6-1 victory over Rida Khan to cruise into girls under-14 singles final of the second National Bank of Pakistan national juniors and seniors tennis championship at Karachi Gymkhana on Wednesday.Mahin is drawn to face top seed Hania Naveed in the final on Thursday.

Meanwhile, second seed Mohammad Raza Sawani overcome Jalaluddin Babar 6-4, 7-5 to set boys under-14 singles title clash with top seed Sahibzada Mohammad Ali.

Results: Girls’ under-14 singles:

First round: Mahin Aftab bt Aleena Aftab 7-6, 6-2.

Semi-final: Mahin Aftab bt Rida Khan 6-0, 6-1.

Boys’ under-14 singles: Semi-final: Mohammad Raza Sawani bt Jalaluddin Babar 6-4, 7-5.

40 plus singles: First round: Nawab Muzaffar bt Jawwad Amjad 6-0, 6-4.

Quarter-final: Ejaz Sarhadi bt Tariq Jan Allawala 6-1, 6-0; Nawab Muzaffar bt Mohammad Javed 6-0, 6-0.

Semi-final: Aly Panju bt Ejaz Sarhadi 6-1, 7-6 (2). Thursday’s fixtures: Finals start at 3.30pm.
