Aassia Haroon Haq was born in Hong Kong, and grew up in Karachi where she attended the Karachi Grammar School.
She was educated at Dartmouth College and the London School of Economics and Political Science. Aassia today serves as the founder & CEO of a travel technology company, Guidrr, Inc. but she began her career as a journalist at Karachi's Newsline magazine.
