LAHORE, Jan 21: The Lahore High Court chief justice on Monday took notice of different crime incidents reported in the national press, including burning of two minor girls in Muzaffargarh by a callous man.

According to some news items, a landlord had burnt the two girls alive for entering his fields.

The other incidents included non-recovery of a child kidnapped for ransom in Lahore, lawyer’s torture of a court staffer and torching of a woman following a domestic dispute.

The CJ sought detailed reports of the incidents from the sessions judges concerned within one week.
