Police said that the motorcyclists chased the car of Haji Mohammad Ali, the owner of the travel agency, when he was going home. They opened indiscriminate firing on his car near Haleemzai, killing his driver Abdur Rehman, a resident Mian Qilla, on the spot, they said.

Police said that Haji Mohammad Ali was injured seriously in the attack. He was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar, they added. Police registered a case against unidentified assailants and started investigation.

Meanwhile, police recovered six rocket shells in Sari Kallay area on Sunday. Police called Bomb Disposal Squad to safely defuse the shells.

In Kohat, the headless body of a man was found packed in a gunny bag in Kot village on Sunday.

The residents of the area informed police about the presence of an unclaimed suspicious bag. Police reached the scene along with Bomb Disposal Squad and found the headless body of a 35-year-old man in the gunny bag.

The body was shifted to KDA hospital for identification. But later it was handed over to tehsil municipal administration for burial because people of the area, where the body was found, couldn’t identify it.
