ISLAMABAD, Oct 19: Indian pop singer, actress, model, television anchor and social worker Raageshwari Loomba visited Sweet Home of Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM) in Sector H-9 and mingled with 300 orphans residing in the facility.

Children were enthralled as a popular personality was visiting them. Ms Raageshwari spent quality time with the children, performing songs and dances for them.

Deputy Managing Director Pakistan Baitul Mal Tariq Khursheed Malik and other officials received Indian celebrity warmly.

Ms Raageshwari, while speaking to children, said that she had visited many sweet homes in India but never seen so much confidence in children as she saw among those at PBM’s Sweet Home.

“I have come here to share love and give good wishes to the children. We can ensure peace in the world by giving the message of love and peace to our new generation. Actors and social workers should play their role in the development of organisations, which are working for the welfare of orphans,” she said.

Tariq Khursheed Malik said that 3,000 children were residing in different sweet homes of PBM all over the country. He said that artists should visit these sweet homes to give confidence to the children.

“The visit of Ms Loomba is a positive step in peace process between the two countries. PBM has been making all out efforts to facilitate the children,” he said.

The children of the Sweet Home also performed poems and songs for the guest.

A documentary movie regarding sweet homes was also shown to the visiting guest.
