LAHORE, Oct 6: A group of lawyers on Saturday misbehaved with a judicial magistrate at Model Town courts and also locked his courtroom allegedly to avenge dismissal of a bail petition of an accused, happened to be brother of a lawyer.

Muhammad Arif, brother of Advocate Muhammad Sajjad, was involved in a buffalo theft case and Green Town police registered a case in this regard. The accused filed his post-arrest bail petition, however, magistrate Amir Nazir Awan dismissed the plea.

At this Advocate Sajjad and his associates got infuriated and hurled abuses at the judicial officer. The offensive behaviour of the lawyers forced the judge to rush to his retiring room. The aggressive black coats also left the place but after locking the door of the courtroom.

Lahore Bar Association’s leadership of Model Town seat endorsed the lawyer’s act and demanded of the LHC chief justice to immediately transfer the judicial magistrate.
