 ISLAMABAD: Senior most Judge of Supreme Court after Chief Justice, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan will retire on August 17 after serving a Judge of SC for about one decade.

He remained Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan during the absence of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

He also remained acting Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan for several months.

The full court reference in the Honour of Mian Shakirullah Jan will be held on August 16 in Supreme Court building Islamabad.

Attorney General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir, Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Akhtar Hussain, President SCBA Yasin Azad will speak on the occasion.

Advocates General of all the four provinces, law officers, senior lawyers will also attend the full court reference.
